COr van Rees (Netherlands)

Stand: 2010 - Juli - 09

My first meters in a car were made in the Fiat 128 of my parents. It was just a normal car, but I liked it very much.

Unfortunately by the time I got my drivers license, they just sold it for a Uno (the 128 was much nicer!). So after a few months I bought myself my own first car, a Fiat of course: Ritmo 60L third series of 1986 for only 500 guilders (about 220 euro...). Only 88.000 on the tacho, 1100 and 4 gears but we drove it up to the Stelvio pass during holidays! After a few years I got a company car and sold the Ritmo (why o why did I do that...). But the company car was not much fun, so I got myself a Ritmo 130TC Abarth from 1985 as hobby car. This was the real thing! Later on, I also liked the cabrio and more and more cars followed and some were sold as well. Also some cars were purchased for spareparts and I think about 20 Ritmo's and Regata's were my property once :-) At this moment I own the following cars:

.Ritmo 60 from 1979, 3-doors, bought in Germany and needs a full restauration, sometime in the future... Picture was taken in better days:

Ritmo 75CL Automatic from 1981, 3-doors. Gearbox was broken, but a complete engine with gearbox with only 60.000 km was fitted. Body needs some attention, but car is for sale is you really are enthusiastic about Ritmo's (you wouldn't read this if you weren't):

Ritmo 125TC Abarth from 1982. The only one in the Netherlands! Originates from Switzerland. Is in good shape. Picture taken on the Grossglocknerstrasse in Austria during the meeting in 2006

Ritmo 60L from 1983, 3 doors. Simple car, some rust, therefore ideal for driving a hobby car in the winter. Picture taken on the island of Terschelling where I grew up:

Ritmo cabrio 85S from 1983. Completly restored in 2004 and was the car we married in. Will never go away! Picture taken on the roof of Lingotto in Turin in 2009!

- Regata 85 from 1985. After 6 years in storage this car finally hit the road again in 2010 and will join the Ritmo-world meeting in Hemer. Only 67.000 km's!

And as member of the board of the Fiat Club Nederland (www.fiatclub.nl) I see a lot of nice cars during the year! All the best from the Netherlands and I like to meet you during a Ritmo meeting.
